Catching up…and a video to boot!

In the midst of the fall-Christmas rush, I haven’t had much of a chance to come back and blog like i want to, so in my classic catch-up style, here’s a quick highlight reel!

In October I had the honor of taking pictures at Pea Ridge for Brittany and Michael Kilpatrick’s wedding.  [...]

Jennifer & Billy Warren

I had the pleasure of photographing Billy & Jennifer’s Wedding on August 22 at The Cotton Barn in Fort Valley, GA.  This was my first wedding at The Cotton Barn, but I hope to visit again.  The setting was absolutely beautiful.  With full access to a fully restored barn, a Victorian home, pecan orchard, and [...]

Two Fishermen Save the Day

I took this photograph in May of 2008.  I don’t know who the men are, and I probably never will, but they saved the day for one of my customers and they’ll never know it.  Their heroic act of self-sacrifice started last fall when a friend purchased this picture for her husband as a Christmas [...]

My First Cover…

I finally got my first exposure on a cover.  This is the Extracts Literary Journal for Middle Georgia College’s Humanities Division.  They created the journal through a grass roots arts grant and it contains artwork as well as poetry and writing from local artists and writers.

A glimpse of things to come…

For the past month or so, I have been working with Livebooks to redevelop my website.  I wanted to use Livebooks because I love the simple yet professional look they offer and it can still be customized as much as you want.  I worked with Julie Lee on my design and I told her that I [...]

BCHS Prom and CBAA 5th Friday

This past weekend was a busy one, but a very good one!  Friday night was Jess Darsey and friends playing bluegrass at the Cochran Bleckley Arts Alliance.  I could only stay for a few minutes because I had to go finish the indoor prom set.  It had been flooding for several days and there was [...]

Quite a lot of catching up to do…

It’s been way too long since I updated my blog, so i’ll try to fill in the almost 3 month lapse.  I am happy to say that the lapse is due to being busy, and not due to job hunting in the current economy.  December was filled with Santa pictures and Christmas portraits and cards.  [...]
